Seamless Extruded Bus Pipe | 6061, 6063, 6101 Alloys | Schedule 40, 80, 120
Maverick Metals supplies aluminum seamless bus pipe — an extruded tubular product used to convey electricity in substations and power distribution systems. Manufactured to nominal inside diameter with wall thickness determined by ANSI schedule (40, 80, 120). Available in 6063-T6, 6061-T6, and 6101-T61 alloys with current ratings from 681 to 6,651+ Amps depending on size and schedule.

Our aluminum bus pipe supply is manufactured to strict ASTM standards for purity, dimensional tolerance, and surface finish. Available in multiple alloy grades with custom sizing to meet your exact requirements.

The standard wall thickness for substation bus conductor. Best balance of current capacity, mechanical strength, and cost. 1" to 8" nominal sizes.
Heavier wall for higher ampacity and longer unsupported spans. 20–50% more current capacity than Schedule 40 at the same nominal size.
Maximum wall thickness for extreme span lengths, heavy loading, and highest current capacity requirements. Typically 4" and larger.
Aluminum bus pipe is the standard conductor for power substations, transmission systems, and industrial power distribution.
Primary bus conductor for outdoor and indoor substations up to 230 kV and beyond.
Main bus runs for large industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and data centers.
Connecting transformers, breakers, and switches in utility-scale power systems.
Tubular design provides excellent natural cooling compared to solid bus bar.
Bending, welding, and compression fitting for complex bus configurations.
Solar and wind farm collector substations and transmission interconnections.
